Access One is a multi-service AIDS organization whom believes that quality health care is a right everyone should enjoy, regardless of income or insurance status. Access One was established in 1998 in a proactive effort to uniquely address the evolving medical, dental and social needs of PLWH/A in our communities, while preserving the dignity and improving the quality of life of the individuals we serve. We have served our communities for 20 years, and have provided quality comprehensive health and wellness services (free of charge) to over 700 people in need. We serve the underserved, and give compassionate care to people who need it most.
Through the years, Access One has combined HIV/AIDS related services with a broad continuum of health care and social services, which have included: direct medical services, psychosocial services, nutritional counseling, legal services, support groups, transportation, case management, medical case management, outreach, and education. Our continual efforts to assure all patients have access to a comprehensive range of healthcare and supportive services have helped individuals achieve optimal health and well-being.
In response to the growing need, Access One expanded our programs into Cumberland County in 2002. Access One spearheaded changes in the delivery of medical care services for PLWH/A in our communities. We have had tremendous success initiating and implementing our programs and most importantly have seen the positive effects our programs have had on our community.
